FAQ – Isle of Light

Where are you based? Are you willing to travel?

We are based in Cape Town, South Africa. We are more than happy to travel and make plans to be with you from wherever you are in the world. We would require you to cover flights, accomodation and car rental / travel costs. For bookings we will book our own flights etc. but will confirm all pricing and logistics with you beforehand.

Do we give RAW images?

What is your turnaround time?

We do not. We will never give images out that we are not proud of and sending out unedited RAWS is not up to our standard. If you feel like we have missed anything, please feel free to ask and we will be happy to look through our images and find what you are looking for.

This depends on how busy our seasons are but for smaller sessions (couples, engagements etc.) we aim to get your photos delivered in 3 weeks or less. For elopements and bigger weddings we aim for 8 weeks.

Can you photoshop us?

How do payments work?

We don't alter the way you look at all other than anything temporary blemishes that would usually not be there (acne, scrapes, bruises etc.) If there is something you are self-conscious about, please let us know so that we can be mindful of it when posing you.

We require a 50% deposit to secure your date in our calendars. This is a non-refundable deposit. The remaining amount is due 1 week before the shoot date.

What if there is bad weather?

We always do our best to work with what we have and have equipped ourselves to do so. We will always encourage embracing every storm (literally) as it can bring a sense of uniqueness to a shoot. If the weather is harsh enough that it will ruin the shoot and ruin our gear, we can always make a plan to reschedule based on availability.

What if we need to cancel / reschedule?

If you have already put a deposit down and are needing to reschedule, we are more than happy to help out and fit you in (subject to our availability). If you are needing to cancel altogether, the deposit is legally non-refundable.

What should we wear to our shoots?

What if you can no longer make it to our wedding?

We love neutral colours as it translates really well on photos and goes with pretty much any landscape type. We are more than happy to chat through outfit inspo and create a mood board with you once we have finalised the date of your session.

This will have to be in the case of extreme illness, death or something completely out of our control. If that is the case, we will do our absolute best to find a replacement that we know and trust and that has a similar approach to ours. You will also receive a full refund (deposit included).
